Hulk Hardware is a proudly Australian owned, patented and manufactured tilt garage door hardware company.
It was brought to life in early 2020 by Ed and Roger, the owners of Smart Doors & Gates in Caloundra, Queensland. After realising there was a huge gap in the garage door industry for quality tilt door hardware, they set to work creating prototypes. Hours were spent in the sheds of both Roger & Ed and the first set of arms were trialled at Roger’s home, where they created a sample door for testing. Modifications were made to the springs geometry and seal sizes, a further 6 months of hard work and late nights after hours to get them to a standard that was adequate for engineering.
After obtaining the patent for our new product, the sales process began, proving the strength and sustainability of our product and gaining the trust and respect from our peers in the garage door industry. From there, we continued to make necessary modifications to improve the product as we went along.
Our first kit sold in October 2020, and the business has thrived from here. The team at Hulk Hardware has grown since, and we now have 5 wonderful staff members and have expanded to a new factory in April 2025, continuing to provide hardware kits to garage door companies Australia and New Zealand wide.
